Building A Vibrant Home For Skerries Town
Our new astro pitch nears completion, and clubhouse upgrades begin in the coming weeks
Great news for everyone at Skerries Town FC — our new astro pitch is now in the advanced stages of completion, and work is about to begin on a major upgrade to the clubhouse. Together, these two projects mark the start of an exciting new chapter for the club.
A New Home Surface For Every Team
The astro pitch has been one of the most anticipated developments in the club's recent history, and it's now within sight of the finish line. Once complete, it will give every one of our teams — from our youngest players right up to our senior sides — the opportunity to train and play on Park Lane's new all-weather surface, rain or shine.
It's a huge step forward for the club. A pitch like this means fewer cancelled sessions, more consistent playing conditions all year round, and a proper home surface that reflects the ambition of everyone involved with Skerries Town FC. This is exactly the kind of vibrant, welcoming home for the club that we've been working towards.
Clubhouse Upgrade Commencing In The Coming Weeks
Hot on the heels of the astro pitch progress, work on upgrading our clubhouse will get underway in the coming weeks. This phase of the project will focus on the exterior of the building, and will include:
- A full external repaint
- New windows throughout
- Solar panels
- A new heating system
- New doors
These works are expected to take place over the coming months, and will make a real difference to the comfort, efficiency, and appearance of the clubhouse for players, coaches, parents, and visitors alike.
What Comes Next
Once the external works are complete, attention will turn to the final phase of the project: a full internal refurbishment of the clubhouse. Together with the astro pitch, this will give Skerries Town FC a facility to be proud of — on and off the pitch — for years to come.
