Dave Sheridan appointed Director of Coaching

Skerries Town FC are delighted to announce the appointment of local man David Sheridan as Director of Coaching for the juvenile section of the club. Dave is in the process of completing his UEFA ‘A’ coaching licence and brings a wealth of experience to the club, joining from Shelbourne FC where he spent the past 2 years as U17 Head Coach for their League Of Ireland side as well as assisting with their U15 squad. Dave also spent time coaching Drogheda United U15s League of Ireland side and having previously coached for 8 years in the NDSL Academy and played with Skerries Town FC from the Academy through to the Senior team in the Leinster Senior League he is very familiar with the club and the local football community.
Dave said he is “thrilled to be coming to work with my home town club and looking forward to meeting and working with all the club’s players and coaches”. Dave also took on the job of coaching his son’s U9 Team earlier this year.

David is looking forward to the challenge of driving the club academy towards being the envy of all in north county Dublin. His first task will be to meet the coaches and the committee to review with them what is working well and what areas of player and coach development can be improved.
Club Chairman ‘Coke’ Coleman welcomed him to his new role saying “Dave has proven ability as a coach and the capability to drive our players and coaches to get the best out of themselves”.
