Skerries Town FC are delighted to announce that after a virtual meeting of our Covid-19 team tonight it has been agreed that all our teams will resume activities with immediate effect. Through local Green Party councillor, Karen Power, we received news from the HSE Department of Public Health that they have been carefully monitoring the situation in Skerries this week. We have been assured that there is nothing extraordinary in the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Skerries. The per-capita number of Covid-19 cases in Skerries is similar to the rest of the country.
Our Health Questionnaire and contact tracing remain in place as preventative measures and will continue to be used for all club activities. All members are expected to continue to cooperate with the club as we strive to protect our members, their families and the wider community in Skerries and further afield.
As usual we ask, if a family member or close contact has been in contact with a person with Covid-19, that you do not attend club activities until it is safe to do so.
We thank the people in Skerries for their support and patience during the week as we all waited for clarification from the HSE on the situation in our town.
